Metrica v Saffrey Champness
The Daggers were back in action last night eager to banish the previous week's poor showing, which they did in some style. From the off it was a different game and goals from John and Andy gave the Metrica boys an early lead.
The Champness lads were not going to go down quietly however and worked their way back into the game scoring three unanswered goals to lead at the half.
The second half was a good battle between the teams and Metrica showed some of the form they had been missing so far this season. Andrew, Jason and Tom worked tirelessly from box to box, while Ray was proving the find of the season in goal. His two full stretch, top corner saves were definitely a cameraman's dream.
John added two more to his tally but both were in response to Saffrey scores. Trailing by a goal with three minutes to go the Daggers pushed on valiantly, peppering the Saffrey goal, but to no avail, as they were edged out by the odd goal in nine.
Metrica: Ray (MoM), Kenno, Jay, Andy (1), Jagger, Fell(3)

Metrica v Practical Law Company
Final Score: Metrica 1 - 12 Practical Law Company
Metrica took on the top of the table in this early Tuesday kickoff – without the scoring exploits of Adam it was always going to be a tough match to win. After conceding a couple of early goals Metrica knew that it would be the toughest game of the season to date.
Despite the gale force winds, the opposition goalie appeared to be in unbeatable form. His goal remained intact, despite some excellent efforts by the 'daggers' attack. Then, just before halftime, John hit a powerful shot and awoke a glimmer of hope for the boys in blue. 7-1 at the half.
The second half was more bruising that the first and the opposition made a number of bad challenges, which went unpunished by the oblivious ref.
The team consisting of Tom, Rich, Paul, Andy (back after a long injury spell on the sidelines), John and James all put in the hard graft, but unfortunately came away with only 1 goal. Big shout to Tom who did a great job between the posts and kept the score down.
There is good news on the horizon following this below par performance – we have to play 4 of the bottom 5 teams in the next 4 weeks. We are confident of getting some points on the board!

Match Report: Metrica v Huxley
Sensing a walkover, Huxley promptly forgot to play for the first 5 minutes and found themselves 3-0 down. Finally getting into the match, Huxley replied with a good effort, then fluked a deflection past Rich "the cat", deputising between the sticks. Tom "I eat marathons for breakfast" Jagger found himself on the wrong end of some rough tackles as Huxley started to impose their brand of footie on the game.
The teams traded goals, with John and Adam capitalising on an inept first half by Huxley's goalie. Tamplin hit the crossbar from the half way line, and at half time it was 5-4 Huxley, everything to play for. But with no substitutes Metrica were beginning to tire, and shortly after the kick off Huxley extended their lead.
Metrica grabbed shovels and dug in, and a combination of disciplined defending from Tom and James and great finishing from the dynamic duo up front took Metrica ahead for the first time since their early salvo. 7-6 against the odds, and for a few minutes it looked like the Daggers were on their way to a deserved win against the odds. But with tiredness creeping in, Benno picked the wrong time to entertain the crowd with some comedy goalkeeping. And as Huxley pulled level and then ahead, Metrica's legs finally went.
10-7 at the end but, as the watching penguins slipped off into the chilly night, the battling manner of the performance warmed our hearts a little.
